Sign off with us!

Sign-Off Dates – $199 per Scout

Next Date: TBASaturday, July 1st • 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

We are a registered Merit Badge Counselor so we can sign off on any blue card for the Cooking Merit Badge. The Scout must fulfill workbook requirements prior to class. Exceptions to this are listed below.

We offer classes that are 3.5 hours in duration, where Scouts prepare all recipes from scratch. We include all food, supplies, aprons, drinks, and 1-2 Chef Instructors (depending on class size) who make cooking educational and fun!

Recipes

Our Cub/Boy Scouts will prepare 4 BSA-approved recipes that can be used in a kitchen setting and modified for a campfire environment. We will go through the entire process of creating the shopping list to plating.

  • Boiling & Baking Technique: Bacon Ranch Macaroni N Cheese
  • Simmering: Alfredo Sauce from scratch
  • Pan Frying: Chicken Parmigiana
  • Microwave: Candy Sushi

In addition to cooking these 4 recipes, we will discuss and review kitchen & food safety, knife skills, and other portions of the workbook. This class will be taught by Chef Austyn Gentry, an Eagle Scout! Choose from any of the Summer class times noted above.

Girl Scout Cooking Competition
Parent Testimonial

Earlier this month, Willow competed in a Scouting competition. She was the elected Patrol Leader & Grub Master for her team. She entered their Golden Spoon outdoor cooking competition and took 2nd place! She taught these boys how to cook and clean up after cooking.

The dish they entered was garlic noodles with shrimp and Bok choy. It was delicious. I really think her lessons at Lil’ Chef School prepared her to be a great leader at the camp! ~ Amy Lee
