Does your Boy Scout Troop need a venue to earn their Cooking Merit Badge?
Sign Off with Us!
Monday, January 20th • 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Friday, February 14th • 9:30 am to 1:00 pm
We are a registered Merit Badge Counselor so we can sign off on any blue card for the Cooking Merit Badge. The Scout must fulfill workbook requirements prior to class. Exceptions to this are listed below.
We offer classes that are 3.5 hours in duration, where Scouts prepare all recipes from scratch. We include all food, supplies, aprons, drinks and 1-2 Chef Instructors (depending on class size) who make cooking educational and fun!
Our Cub/Boy Scouts will prepare 4 BSA approved recipes that can be used in a kitchen setting and modified for a campfire environment. We will go through the entire process of creating the shopping list to plating.
- Boiling & Baking Technique: Baked Macaroni N Cheese
- Simmering: Marinara sauce from scratch
- Pan Frying: Chicken Parmigiana
- Microwave: Candy Sushi
In addition to cooking these 4 recipes, we will discuss and review kitchen & food safety, knife skills and other portions of the workbook. This class will be taught by Chef Austyn Gentry, an Eagle Scout! Choose from any of the Summer class times noted above.
In order for Blue card sign off, your Scout must bring the completed workbook to class. The exceptions are listed here:
