Focaccia Bread

Focaccia Bread

Servings: Makes 16 squares

  • YCA pizza dough (do not allow to rise)
  • Olive oil
  • Coarse salt
  • Sun dried tomatoes
  • 4 Fresh Roma tomatoes
  • Crumbled feta cheese

Prep for adult helper only: Prep tomatoes for safety scissors.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Divide dough into two parts. Shape each into a rectangle and place each on a prepared baking sheet. With fingers, flatten the dough to accommodate toppings.

Chop fresh tomatoes (and sun dried if necessary) with safety scissors.

Sprinkle dough with olive oil, coarse salt, tomatoes, and feta cheese.

Bake until dough is golden, about 10 minutes. Cut into squares to serve. Drizzle with more olive oil if desired.

Typical Focaccia usually has a topping of olive oil, rosemary, coarse salt, etc. without sauce or cheese. However, you can top the dough with many other ingredients.

Equipment needed: 2 Baking sheets, Safety scissors, Non-stick cooking spray.
