Chili Cheese Pie

Servings: Makes 4-6 servings


  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 can (16 oz.) crushed tomatoes with juice
  • 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can (15 oz.) red kidney beans (do not drain)
  • Corn chips (product similar to Fritos®)
  • Garnish: grated cheddar cheese


1. In a large skillet or saucepan, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic. Drain off the excess fat.

2. Add tomatoes, chili powder, sugar, salt, and Worcestershire sauce.

3. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.

4. Add the can of kidney beans and its juice. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes or until thick.

5. Serve over corn chips. Top with grated cheddar cheese. It can also be served over rice or used as chili for chili dogs.
