  • 4 medium cooking apples (Granny Smith OR Pippin are perfect)
  • ¼ C firmly packed brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ C water
  • 1 C flour
  • 2/3 C sugar
  • ½ C (1 stick butter)
  • Caramel sauce (optional)


1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Core, peel and slice the apples, then put them in a pie pan.

3. Put brown sugar and cinnamon on a small mixing bowl and mix together. Spread over evenly the apples.

4. Mix flour, sugar and butter with pastry masher. Sprinkle crumbly over the apples and bake 45-50 minutes…..serve with French vanilla ice cream smothered in caramel….Yum!
