Vodka Sauce

Yield: Makes 12 dinner servings or 24 half servings

  • 1/4 Chopped Prosciutto Ham
  • 1 Stick of butter
  • 1 28oz. can crushed tomato
  • 1/2 Pint of cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 Med. onion chopped
  • 1/2 C vodka
  • 1/2 C Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 T Garlic
  • 3 Florets chopped basil


1. Sauté Prosciutto, onion, garlic and butter together under medium heat until onion is translucent, then add the vodka and stir for 5 minutes.

2. Add the tomato sauce and Parmesan Cheese and bring to a boil.

3. Add the cream, cayenne, salt, basil and Italian Seasoning ...stir and let simmer for an hour. Best made a day ahead so the flavors can marry....Yummy!!
