After-School Cooking Classes

CUSD After-School Program



Classes are currently being offered right after school. Budding chefs learn the basics of cooking while participating in the preparation of real recipes they get to taste at the end of each class. The recipe is included at the end of the day!

Your child will learn:

  • Safety
  • How to measure ingredients using math & science
  • Etiquette
  • Different types of kitchen utensils and appliances as well as what they are used for

Please note: **We are a nut-free school and we can accommodate ONLY and ALL nut allergies.  We cannot accommodate any other allergies and/or food restrictions.  If children have gluten or dairy sensitivity they can participate but cannot taste. **

Session 1 – NO CUSD Classes held on the following dates:
Sept 4  |  Sept 11-15 | Oct 30-Nov 3

Session 2 – 7 Week Class
Nov 13th  to  Jan 17th
(Monday & Thursday classes: 6 Weeks)
Wk 1  Nov 13-16  Turkey Gobbler Salad Sandwich (No Class 11/12)
 Nov 19-23  NO CUSD classes
Wk 2  Nov 26-30  Toasted Ravioli
Wk 3  Dec 3-7  Vegetable Noodle Soup
Wk 4  Dec 10-14  Cinnamon Sugar Buns
Wk 5  Dec 17-21  BBQ Chicken Quesadillas (No Thurs Class 12/20)
 12/24-1/4  No CUSD classes
Wk 6  Jan 7-11  Chocolate Chip Cookies (Demo Week)
Wk 7  Jan 14-18  Veggie Chili
