Chocolate Mousse

This is delicious when served inside a crepe or crème puff. Purchased phyllo cups or puff pastry shells are also a convenient, but festive way to serve chocolate mousse.


  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1⁄4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: strawberries to garnish


1. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave, being careful not to burn the chocolate. Set aside to cool.....not harden!

2. Beat the whipping cream and cinnamon with a hand mixer until soft peaks form. Mousse is actually French for “froth or foam.”

3. Add melted chocolate to the cream and fold with a spatula until well blended. Place in refrigerator.


Equipment needed: microwavable bowl, mixing bowl, measuring spoon and cups, spatula, hand mixer
